Hi everyone, I have an announcement:
With some help from my friends, I have developed the technology to create the best pet portraits in the world.
I’m breaking the usual monthly shop-update e-mail routine with something a little different.
I was going to hold off on this announcement until my shop opening in a couple weeks, but frankly I’m just excited and impatient to make more of these.
Here’s a series of pet portraits I’ve done recently to test the system out on my friends:
Guys, I love these so much. I feel like I’m unlocking a whole new way of having fun with my drawing.
Creating things that make people laugh and feel seen is always my primary focus, and these just land right in the sweet spot for me. I am genuinely excited about them and I hope you enjoy them too.
The system is simple and looks like this:
Basically instead of just drawing pets, I’m drawing their essence. Their final form, if you will.

As you can tell, I’m a little obsessed right now. These are so fun and they feel like my style in a way that excites me.
I’m not ready to make these available to everyone, I’m still ironing out the kinks. But I’m ready to expand a bit and do a first run of paid portraits.

For this round, they’re $120 for a full body illustration, and $100 for a headshot style portrait.
I will raise my prices, but at this time I’m just focused on making these good.

p.s. I am desperately hoping someone with a really weird pet will join in. If that’s you, please know that no pet is too weird. I want to draw a tarantula or a chinchilla so badly.
